Nameless Filter (Jan 2019)

Reverie is excited to bring back a long-time staff favorite, Nameless. This coffee was originally released a couple of years back as our roasting team’s odd, quirky experimental espresso. After our current Director of Coffee, Beau Harris, came on board the crew decided to reimagine this odd duckling as a wild, zesty filter coffee.

For this Winter’s iteration, we looked to South America for inspiration. Our roasters were on a Colombian coffee kick and thought it would be a lovely change of pace to use a Huila as a starting point. After selecting a funky, fruit-forward green coffee the team set to work and got wild.

We wanted to capture the juiciness and vibrancy of washed Colombian coffees while also expressing some of their less tame characteristics. To accomplish this the roasting team experimented with a short, aggressive roasting curve while keeping the end of roast very light. This particular coffee has a lot of sugars and organic acids contained within it, making it a perfect candidate for a less restrained approach.

Nameless

In the cup you’ll find juicy citrus and zesty tropical fruit hues. The acidity is brash and bold, tempered by a heavy-handed sweetness. The body expresses mild milk chocolate and cedar tones. Upon finishing you’ll notice a clean, fruity aftertaste that ties the cup together. It’s funky, hoppy and all around a lively cup.

We hope you’ll enjoy this coffee as much as we do. Snag yourself a bag and get wild.

XO,

The Roasting Team
