Public at the Brickyard : Coffee Hero Highlight #5

Every now and again you find a restaurant that you can’t get enough of. For the last seven years, Public at the Brickyard has been serving quite possibly the most local lunch and dinner menu in our city. Locally sourced meats and vegetables from regional farms and a progressive craft brews selection make it easy to love this place.

But the real magic at Public happens on Saturday & Sunday mornings with its farm-fresh brunch. Dishes like steak & eggs, chicken & biscuit and gravy, and salmon benedict steal the show. Each menu item is carefully crafted to bring you a unique breakfast experience like no other in Wichita.

Great brunch needs great coffee. Since 2015, Reverie has been roasting fresh coffee to serve at Public. It makes sense once you get to know the owners. Since the beginning of our business relationship, I have considered Travis and Brooke Russel to be more than just restaurant industry colleagues. They are mentors and have helped me discover better ways to operate our business. We’ve even hosted our annual Reverie family holiday party in their party room.

I would suspect most restaurateurs would prefer to source from within their community, though most are unable to. Public is a great example of what can be, and Wichita is lucky to have it here to serve us all. We’re grateful to provide our roasted coffees for their customers to enjoy.

At Reverie, we work hard to build strong alliances among our customers because we depend on each other to achieve success. But it’s more than just about the products we prepare. Our commitment to building stronger communities is what makes partnerships like ours last as long as they do. And we’re excited to keep serving Wichita through Public.
