We have a peaberry! A peaberry is a type of seed from a coffee cherry. These seeds are a mutation, and instead of the coffee having two seeds, it will have only one. What you will taste is a sweet and fruity coffee!

The Tanzania 'North PB' coffee is sourced from various
Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Societies (AMCOS)
located in the northern regions of Tanzania, primarily
in the Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions. These AMCOS,
such as Usseri Rural Cooperative Society Ltd., Uduru
Makoa RCS, Engare Oimotony, and Kirima Boro RCS,
serve as local cooperative societies where farmers come
together to mill their coffee and facilitate its marketing.
While AMCOS handle the pre-preparation of the coffee
for export, the actual exportation process is managed by
local exporters. Each AMCOS operates independently
with its own elected board, representing the collective
interests of its farmer members. Throughout the
process, from cherry sorting to drying and grading,
AMCOS ensure meticulous care and quality control,
allowing only the finest cherries to be used and
maintaining strict standards for processing and
preparation.

Tanzania Peaberry AMCOS is also Rainforest Alliance Certified, which means the coffee must be produced in ways that do not harm rainforests. With the participation of the land's indigenous people, the Rainforest Alliance is protecting the rainforest and all who live in it.
